Occasionally couples find that the use of cameras and cell phones during their ceremony might have gotten a bit out of hand. Occasionally our clients find their wedding is less of a wedding than a photo opportunity. If you would like to your guests to be more present with you in your ceremony, here is some text that you might wish to have your officiant deliver before the ceremony begins:

- Welcome to the wedding of... We want you to be able to really enjoy our wedding day, and we want you to feel truly present and in the moment with us. We have hired an amazing wedding photographer who will capture the way the photographic story of the day. We invite each of you to sit back, relax and just enjoy how our wedding feels. We respectfully ask that everyone leave all cameras and cell phones off during the ceremony and the ceremonial parts of the reception, including the first dance, parent dances and the cake cutting. We ask you to refrain so we can see your face and you can see ours, both now and forever, in the photos that our photographer will capture. I promise that all the photos will be shared afterward.
